The Quality Management Plan is an integral part of any project management plan. The purpose of the Quality Management Plan is to describe how quality will be managed throughout the lifecycle of the project. It also includes the processes and procedures for ensuring quality planning, assurance, and control are all conducted. All stakeholders should be familiar with how quality will be planned, assured, and controlled
The Quality Management Plan for the project will establish the activities, processes, and procedures for ensuring a quality product upon the conclusion of the project. The purpose of this plan is to:
Ensure quality is planned
Define how quality will be managed
Define quality assurance activities
Define quality control activities
Define acceptable quality standards
Quality control is useful in projects because help us with the following things:
make inspections and audits within our guidelines,
monitoring our process,
find different ways to delete variances,
eliminate poor performance,
avoid unsatisfactory products and
document information.
Quality project is also useful due to it is documented in line with organizational requirements and agreed on procedures. Also, it helps us to maintain our records throughout the project duration and to continuous improvements in areas with difficulties. Even though with quality control we expect warranty and maintain our quality standards, we can document easily lessons learned when we found some poor performance in our process and examining whether the project deliverables have been reached.
