Discuss why ads for pharmaceuticals never show people actually taking the medication. What are they trying to convince you of? As a consumer, do you feel like they are hiding something. For instance, Zoloft or Viagra... after taking medication does it instantly make you more attractive, happy, and living the best life you can? What about the fine print? Why don't they highlight the adverse reactions that many face when taking medications?

Prescription drug ads are a multimillionaire dollar industries that promptes treatment that you may or may not need.

The US and New Zealand are the only countries where drug makers are allowed to market prescription drugs directly to consumers .

Drug specific ads fall in two categories product claim amd reminder ..

A product claim names a drug and talks about both its benefits and risks..A reminder ad gives the drug name .The assumptions is that audience already knows what the drug ia for.

The FDA does not approve prescription drug ads in advance but its staff tries to monitor them to ensure claims are not false or misleading. The ads dont show the people taking medicine because the people or models they choose does not suffer from the same problem.so they cant take the medicine..showing us they are taking the medicine helps them to convince us to take the medicine too..yes zoloft and vigra makes you instantly happy attractive..but you get one desired effect..last longer errection you also get a lot of negative side effect benefits that overtime mess you up.
