What have to be taken into considerations when working under high wind condition during construction?
The following are the consideration to be taken into account when construction is in high wind conditions:
1. Use protective grears such as following
a) hard hats (tightened so they are not blown off)
b) Goggles (as some Soil, Dust, Cement, Debris and other small particles can become airbourne. Human eyes are vulnerable to such small particles)
c) Respiratory masks: It is better to use N95 masks which avoids debris, dust particles and cement to enter human body through nose and mouth.
2. Displaced Work Materials: Tools, machinery on the construction sites should be stored at proper places (on the opposite direction of wind).
3. Move the machinery far from line of fire.
4 Ensure that work materials used on elevated surfaces are properly secured and avoid working under scaffolding during high wind events.Postpone lifting operations.
5. The wind can easily blow objects away, particularly light objects such as hard hats and sheeting. It becomes even more dangerous when high winds are involved because they can blow heavier objects such as machinery or even trucks (though, hopefully, your site will be closed by this point).
6. Ensure hauling vehicles are properly filled. Consider margin of safety for wind while filling them.
7. Be prepaired to stop the construction for a while.
8. Ensure partially built structures are properly supported at all times regardless of weather conditions and that walls are adequately braced until building is complete.
9. All crain activity must be postponed till acceptable wind
speed is restored.

How is a welding method selected during the manufacturing process? What are the considerations taken into account?
A 17.0-m-high wall is under construction and its bracing is shown in the figure. This is the bracing per foot along the length of the wall. The wall is in static equilibrium but needs the bracing to withstand wind pressure. It can pivot at its base. Fwind 17.0m 8.5 m 359 Calculate the force exerted by the brace if a strong wind exerts a horizontal force of 650 N on the wall. Assume that the net force from the wind...
A condition monitoring technique for wind turbine blades is used to detect faults, but is not perfect. It has a sensitivity of 97% (proportion of faulty blades correctly identified) and a specificity of 99% (proportion of blades without faults correctly identified), when used as part of routine maintenance. Assume that 1% of the blades have faults. (a) What proportion of blades tested will receive a negative result, i.e. claiming that they are without faults? In your working, define relevant events....
A 17.0 m-high and 12.0 m-long wall under construction and its bracing are shown in the figure below. The wall is in stable equilibrium without the bracing but can pivot at its base. Calculate the force (in N) exerted by each of the 10 braces if a strong wind exerts a horizontal force of 545 N on each square meter of the wall. Assume that the net force from the wind acts at a height halfway up the wall and...
What special considerations do you need to keep in mind when working with a client from a low socioeconomic population? How would you address the client?
Under what condition(s) does the test statistic for p have an approximate normal distribution? a. When np > 5. b. When np and np(1 - p) are both > 5. c. When n > 30. d. When np and n(1 - p) are both > 5.
Cultural considerations need to be taken into account when assessing a child for abuse. Examples of these considerations are coin rubbing in the Asian culture for respiratory infections and leaf rubbing (Edelman, Kudzma, & Mandle, 2013). It is important for the nurse to be aware of these considerations in order to avoid any undue stresses to the family structure by reporting. Thus, a thorough assessment of the family and cultural practices must be completed. What are some other cultural considerations...
