  • Collective agreement commonly known as settling the disputes between employee and employer with discussion and negotiation between the parties. Both the parties needs to follow the agreed decision. It is explained as process in which representative of labor and representative of business management, negotiate a contract. Negotiations can be regarding to working conditions, terms of employment, bonus and incentives, safety measures. It includes the some of following points while writing a plan-

- Negotiations

- Policies and administration

- Documentation with parties involved

- Unions

  • Negotiation Areas can be illustrated below -

- Work condition

- Safety at work

- Bonus or Incentives or Pay rise

- Job security

- Wages

- Hours of work

- Settling economic disputes of worker

- Appreciation

  • There must be a eligible group to negotiate such agreements. Such group can be summerized as -

- Trade Union

- Workers

- Employee's federation

- Local Management

  • There are pre-requisites business rules to set up the agreement.

- A strong representative Trade union who work for settling the disputes

- Negotiations should be based on practical things and facts

- Strong management who deals with employees, government or consumers

- Mutual rights of employer and employee should be the part of the agreement

- Proper documentation as per company's policy and legal formalities.

  • Every Agreement involves minimum two or multiple parties. This leads to difference of opinion or clashes in views. There must be some methods to avoid such clashes and to reach at common conclusion or agree mutually on the solution. Such methods can be illustrated as -

- Think of other's perspectives - One should always keep the you attitude when other party is involved. We assumes that we understand the other's side and goals. We need to open up with opportunities by understanding each other's position. by discussing new ideas one can reach to creative solution which can be beneficial for both the sides

- Third party opinion - If both the parties cannot reach on mutual decision or agree on same thing, it is always benificial to take outside opinion like adviser or industry experts. These group of people can see the situation from their level equally from both sides and with different perspective. This will help to resolve heated arguments.

- Set practical demands - To stop escalating the matter, demands should be minimised. The demands should be practical.
