Reflect on your own childhood at ages 13, 16, and as a young adult (ages 18-24). In what ways would you have been ready to become a single parent and in what ways would your development have hindered your ability to parent a child as a teenager?
can I have 200 words, please?
One of the most important things for anyone to have an independent living is a steady income. Economic independency, thus becomes a very important factor in determining successful single parent. This would be supported by factors such as the social support and laws of the land that protect the single parents through social welfare schemes. The acceptance and the tolerance level of the society is also very important because in a collective society, it’s not very easy to live as a single parent but in an individualistic society, there is not much struggles as the benefits and support system is strong. The type of parenting is one of the most important factors in making one confident, strong and resilient individual thus, a parenting style that accepts the children as they are with their strengths and weaknesses would prepare one to become a better individual in making one a single parent. Secondly, the type of education that is very nurturing and supportive in terms of instilling confidence and guidance would motivate one to face the world in any challenging situation. Finally, one’s own will power to withstand the challenges and struggles one faces in life would also impact whether one would be able to remain a single parent.
