Answer #1

The siren of ambulance acts as a source of sound.As we know that according to Doppler effect when a source of sound moves away from the observer then the apparent frequency of sound as heard by observer seems to be lower than original frequency of sound.

The equation for apparent frequency is-

where v=velocity of sound

Vs=velocity of source(here it is velocity of ambulance)

f=original frequency of source

Since

so

So we conclude that apparent frequency of sound seems to be lower.

So option(A) is correct.
