The structure of the dipeptide at pH 7.0:

pKa of aspartic acid side chain carboxylic acid group is ~ 3.6. Hence, it will be deprotonated at pH 7.0.

pKa of aspartic acid amine group is ~ 9.6. Hence, it will be protonated at pH 7.0.

pKa of alanine carboxylic acid group is ~ 2.3. Hence, it will be deprotonated at pH 7.0.

The net charge on the dipeptide = -1
