This statement implies that a statement is true and logical, not only from experience, but also by reasoning because senses may not always be reliable. This has been put forward by various philosophers including Aristotle, where the idea that senses are the ultimate form of truth has been criticized. They also explained how one's own senses can decieve them and thus logical decisions require to be made before relying merely on experience.
