`Hey,

Note: Brother in case of any queries, just comment in box I would be very happy to assist all your queries

CISO (chief information security officer)

The CISO (chief information security officer) is a senior-level executive responsible for developing and implementing an information security program, which includes procedures and policies designed to protect enterprise communications, systems and assets from both internal and external threats. The CISO may also work alongside the chief information officerto procure cybersecurity products and services and to manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Instead of waiting for a data breach or security incident, the CISO is tasked with anticipating new threats and actively working to prevent them from occurring. The CISO must work with other executives across different departments to ensure that security systems are working smoothly to reduce the organization's operational risks in the face of a security attack.

The chief information security officer's duties may include conducting employee security awareness training, developing secure business and communication practices, identifying security objectives and metrics, choosing and purchasing security products from vendors, ensuring that the company is in regulatory compliance with the rules for relevant bodies, and enforcing adherence to security practices.

Other duties and responsibilities CISOs perform include ensuring the company's data privacyis secure, managing the Computer Security Incident Response Team and conducting electronic discovery and digital forensic investigations.

Audit Committee

Boards of Directors and their committees rely on management to run the daily operations of the business. The Board's role is better described as oversight or monitoring, rather than execution. Responsibilities of the audit committee typically include:

  • Overseeing the financial reporting and disclosure process.
  • Monitoring choice of accounting policies and principles.
  • Overseeing hiring, performance and independence of the external auditors.
  • Oversight of regulatory compliance, ethics, and whistleblower hotlines.
  • Monitoring the internal control process.
  • Overseeing the performance of the internal audit function.
  • Discussing risk management policies and practices with management.

Steering Committee

Although in practice the role of the Steering Committee is complex, two guiding principles by which it should function are simple:

  • Give Strategic Direction
  • Support the Project/Programme Manager

Thus, a Steering Committee typically comprises senior managers who have a vested interest in the delivery and/or outcome of the project/programme.

Chief Technologist

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is the individual within an organization who oversees the current technology and creates relevant policy. A CTO should have the business knowledge necessary to align technology-related decisions with the organization's goals.

In addition to fixing IT-related issues, a CTO is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and evaluating the company's technological resources.

The CTO position often overlaps with other jobs, in particular, that of the CIO (Chief Information Officer) and CSO (Chief Science Officer). Depending on its size and focus, a company may have any or all of these positions. As a rule, the CTO reports to the CEO (Chief Executive Officer).

Key responsibilities

Specifics of the CTO's job responsibilities vary from one organization to another. The following are the typical standard requirements in a CTO job description:

Tech strategy:

  • Monitor technological, social and scientific trends that could influence the company's business goals.
  • Identify opportunities and risks for the business.
  • Participate in management decisions about corporate governance.

Research and development:

  • Research and recommend the most effective content management systems (CMS).
  • Maintain current information about technology standards and compliance regulations.
  • Manage research and development of technology, IT assets and associated revenue.

Thanks.
