Methanol is a polar molecule and so it exhibits all three of the van Der Waals forces , dipole-dipole attraction, Debye forces (induced attraction) and London dispersion forces .

Because hydrogen is bonded to oxygen, it exhibits hydrogen bonding at room temperature
