Emirates airlines are the state owned airlines found in Dubai,United Arab Emirates. The parent company is The Emirates Group which is owned by governement of Dubai's Investment Corporation of Dubai. It operates over 3600 flights per week from Dubai International Airport and is so callled as the largest airline in the middle East. It generated net income of US$ 62 million(Nov.2018).

COMPETITORS:-

Emirates operations were started with two aircrafts i.e. Boeing 737 and Airbus 300 B4.

Some competitiors of Emirates Airlines are:-

  1. Eithad Airways- It is second largest airline based in Abu Dhabi, UAE
  2. Qatar Airways- it is a state owned airlines in Qatar
  3. Fly Dubai- Government ownned which is a low cost airlines
  4. Malaysia Airlines- It operates in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia
  5. Cathay Pacific- Its main operating hub is in Hong Kong international airport.

PURCHASES PRODUCT/SERVICES:-

Emirates airlines have bsuiness class and economy class service for customers who travel all over the world. Emirates Airline carried over 56 Million passengers in the fiscal year 2017-2018. Apart from this it has cargo services which is used for carrying goods from one country to another which is named as Sky Cargo. It operates cargo flights for 50 destinations.

BUSINESS STRUCTURE:-

Emirates Airlines has a Tall hierarchical organizational structure . It works favorably for the company in the process of decision making.

STRATEGIES FOR ENTERING THIS COUNTRY:-

International Companies can enter UAE market in various ways but Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is the most preferred one.

  • Internation companies are taking licensing route for ease of doing business.
  • Joint Ventures and partnerships can also help
  • Distribution model through buyers/suppliers
