Implicit bias is holding particular beliefs and thoughts about a person or group unconsciously. It operates purely on unconscious mind based on past experiences. An implicit bias is uncontrollable as it resides in unconscious mind. On other hand explicit bias is holding prejudices and stereotyping some people or group intentionally. Explicit bias is controllable unlike implicit bias. A person can disregard explicitly any stereotyping about some peole while harbouring such stereotyping implicitly. I think implicit bias is more harming than explicit bias as explicit bias can be rectified.
