God Three Specific
Promises:
God wanted to a world of unity and commitment so he started working
with Abraham. God gave him many commands and three specific
promises. While giving Abraham those promises he identified that he
wanted to make great nation and he wanted to him the father of that
nation. God further said that he will bless them who will bless you
and he will curse them who will curse you. These promises were
given in order to make a powerful spiritual relationship with the
god and god wanted the nation to be in one nation in which all the
people are living together.
Let us understand about the triple fulfillment of god promises according to stott:
• Land: The first promise that god gave to Abraham was to provide Abraham and his people land to live as gods know that the people will be fighting for the ownership of the land and that will create boundaries on the earth.
• Descendants: The second promise god gave to Abraham that he will be descendants that will be righteous.
• Blessing: The third promise god gave to Abraham that he will bless all his children who will live in his nation together.
The basic seed of Abraham promise
was as same as the promises were given to Adam and Eve to create a
world but that was of a different context. Identifying the seed is
difficult as it is sometimes refer to multiple people and sometimes
it refers to the single individual.
The first seed of Abraham was that he will be the father of the
nation. The development of the Abraham was very important for the
coming of Christ.
The second seed was the spiritual. The basic point of god’s
promises was to make people spiritual towards everything because
spiritual understanding bonds the nation in one.
The third seed was Christ himself. As we discuss earlier about the
context of seed refer to multiple of individual but in this case he
was the third seed.
