Ageism

I shall suggest a few points hereby which shall be elaborated. Ageism is a phenomenon which is seen to affect people who are more than 60 years of age or who are living a retired life. It is perhaps a type of discrimination which the old age people face from society. Retired age people are not usually involved in any sort of activities which needs physical strength. This is considering the fact that old age people are weak and shall be excluded from certain activities. Society might see aged people with respect but not applicable to all cultures. In certain cultures, it is seen that aged people are not respected as they are not working, do not earn and lead a sedentary life. They are perhaps seen as useless people by youth which is discrimination suffered by the same. Ageism can be overcome by actively participating in any routine activity which will strengthen both mental and physical ability.
