Research a minimum of four articles regarding group norms and conformity. Explain how both conformers and non-conformers influence the group.
Groups can have both positive and negative effects on individual behavior. Conformity has the tendency to change what people think and say in response to others. This depends on the person and how they feel within the group. Non-Conformers want free ride; they want the benefit and efforts of other people. Everyone in the groups should express his own opinions and viewpoints. Some task are better working in a group. You have the ability to learn from someone else in the group.
Explain the consequences of not having either type of group member in any given group.
Interaction with others in different social groups is part of the condition we live in. Not everyone will, nor should they agree and have the same beliefs and opinions on views. Communication may provide insight into what the group is adding and taking away.
