Answer #1

1. Ethernet frames can send 1500 bytes of data which is called as maximum transmission unit or MTU, so a largest UDP datagram can be of 1500 bytes.

2. Given UDP Packet = 9k bytes. Size of 1 frame=1500 bytes

So required frames = 9000/1500=6 frames will traverse accross the network

I need help with this assignment, please; Programming Assignment 3: UDP Pinger Lab In this lab, you will study a simple Internet ping server written in the Java language, and implement a corresponding client. The functionality provided by these programs is similar to the standard ping programs available in modern operating systems, except that they use UDP rather than Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) to communicate with each other. (Java does not provide a straightforward means to interact with ICMP.)...

Complete the following short answer questions: 1. Design an Ethernet network to connect a single client PC to a single server which will contain a wired connection to both digital storage media as well as an optical device. Both the client and the server will connect to their respective workgroup switches via UTP. Their workgroup switches are connected directly by a trunk link. The two switches are 1,700 meters apart. They need to communicate at 500 Mbps. Your design should...
