Constant acceleration of car 1 = a = 1 m/s2

Constant velocity of car 2 = V = 120 km/hr

Net force on car 1 = F1

Net force on car 2 = F2

Car 2 is going with constant velocity therefore has no acceleration and therefore the net force on car 2 is zero.

F2 = 0 N

Car 1 has a non-zero acceleration therefore it has a non-zero net force acting on it.

F1 > 0 N

Therefore,

F1 > F2

Car 1 is acted on by a larger net force.

Option (d) is correct.
