Answer 1) Private speech is spoken to oneself for communication , self guidance and regulation of behaviour and private speech is not intended towards others . This speech peaks at around the age of 5 to 7 years and disappears by the age of 9.

This speech helps in cognitive development of children and it brings cognitive maturity . It sharpens children's mind as children become more inquisitive and involved with themselves .

Answer 2) Scaffolded writing is used to evaluate a student's learning skills and abilities and it provides feedback to enhance the knowledge and skills of children .

I think scaffolding is a very good approach to develop the learning ability among children . Through this approach the educators instruct various group of students with diverse learning needs in the same class .

Yes, I have seen scaffolding writing in a classroom when an educator was helping the students by instructing how to improve their conceptual knowledge and writing about a particular subject . The educator was helping the child improve his creative writing and also improving his knowledge by explaining him concepts , vocabulary and other aspects .
