Answer:

The system partition is a primary partition whose responsibility is to boot the operating system. The boot loader is present in the system partition.

The partition of the disk which has the operating system folder known as the system root %systemroot% is the boot partition.

Both the partitions may exist on the same partition but in case if they are on a different partition then the boot loader won't be on the boot partition and system root won't be on the system partition.
