Product differentiation is nothing but a way of marketing in
which the similar product is presented to the the audience as per
the tastes and preferences of the target customer.
Yes, there is no doubt in the fact that organisations that
differentiate well earns much better profits as it is then able to
attract more number of customers of different segments and hence
the customer acquisition cost also decreases.
The marketing and differentiation is done as per the needs and
requirements of the customer and hence the product sells better in
the market.
McDonalds is one such company that has used differentiation to
its benefit as in India it markets the product base on Indian
cuisines and tastes and in US they propagate their beef burger
unlike in India. This strategy is still not completely adopted by
Subway and hence McDonalds enjoy the privilege.
