Answer #1

Agoraphobia is simply defined as the fear of certain places one would like to visit or get exposed. This is primarily because getting exposed would create a panic attack and would find oneself difficult to escape from. There are 2 different types of treatments available. They are oral medications and psychotherapy. Oral medication is the use of antidepressants. However, these medications should be used for a longer period of time as it can alter mental health. Psychotherapy is one which is helpful in this situation. It helps to reduce the anxiety threshold and produce an initiative to the patient in boldly facing the situation. But the issue is that after psychotherapy session, when the patient gets exposed to a completely unknown area accidentally without prior notice, the chance of recurrence of a panic attack is more and so is Agoraphobia, People who have low-level agoraphobia would rely on medications and those with a chronic condition would need both medication and psychotherapy.
