The 750 kg elevator is operated as the cable winds around the rotating drum (r=0.2 m) A which is driven by a motor. Determine the constant torque M which must be supplied to the shaft of the drum by the motor in order to give the elevator an upward velocity of 3 m/s in a vertical rise of 4 m starting from rest. Neglect the mass of the drum and assume it is in rotational equilibrium (constant rotational speed). Neglect friction.
