The general Aggrement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) is a legal agreement between many countries whose objective is to promote international trade by reducing or eliminating trade barriers or by promoting liberalisation.you may be attempting to charge the France government with a violation of GATT agreement before a panel or dispute settlement body under the GATT principle of -the GATT prohibits member states from imposing restrictions on the import and export of products.

but their are exemptions and the GATT aknowledge that under certain circumstances are set out in articles in GATT agreement which include measures necessary to protect public morals, concerned for the welfare of animals have been recognised and France may enact measures which restrict import and export based animal welfare concerned with foreign grown animals.
