Firstly, in order to understand the ergonomic issues related to the MSDs and CTDs present at any facility, it is important to understand the symptoms and the proven methods of ergonomics. Ergonomics is related to the structuring of workplace so as to suit the  psychological and physiological principles and cause most efficient working conditions for the employees. In case I were appointed to understand the ergonomic issues related to MSDs and CTDs, I would follow the trailing guidelines and risk indications:

1. Frequent repetition of tasks - If the employee is provided with a task which demands repetitive action in awkward positions, the employee is subjected to risk of MSD.
2. High amount of work load - This causes tremendous stress in an individual. Thereby disturbing the mental and physical health of an individual
3. Heavy work - This causes strain to the human body. Prolonged exposure to strain can cause damage to muscle tissues.
4. Employees not allowed to relax - If employees remain in strained positions for longer period of time, this can cause damage to their bodies and posture.
5. Training records - Whether the managers and supervisors are being trained regularly regarding the importance of ergonomics
6. Ergonomics based risk assessment- This will help analyze and control the ergonomics of the workplace
7. Reviewing the medical health records - This will help understand the cases of ill-health among employees due to wrong ergonomics.
8. Communication with workers - This will help us understand the basic problems and necessities of workers. Also, in most of the cases, we tend to get better ideas how to resolve the issues and improve the overall productivity of the organization.
