Decisions about right and wrong permeate everyday life. Ethics should concern all levels of life: acting properly as individuals, creating responsible organizations and governments, and making our society as a whole more ethical. Ethical dilemma is a situation in which a person is confused between two options of right and wrong. He couldn't decide what is right for him and what is wrong thus, he faces himself in a situation where he is bound to make a decision that doesn't affect his actions.

The ethical dilemma that i faced in my job was when my manager asked me to interview two persons for a particular job position. I have to select only one person and there was a male and a female candidate. After the interview and the results, the female candidate was more deserving than the male candidate but as the job was of sales and travel our company doesn't want a female to be assigned for the same job. Thus, the values of gender discrimination and equality came into action. A meeting was held and many issues were raised. She was a deserving candidate but what if she won't be able to perform better in the travel job. Many future outcomes were discussed. Finally after the GVV analysis for giving value to the values and all the discussions, we thought of giving the female the job. As she was talented and deserving, we thought why we should still pertain on the past values of gender based jobs. Jobs and their roles should be neutral and thus we effectively hired her, groomed her and she is still now working with us as the sales manager because of her initial and best development.
