300 WORDS REQUIREMENT!!! 300 PLEASE NOTHING LESS!!! AND NO COPING FOR OTHER ANSWERS... I NEED A NEW ONE!!!

One expert contends that sales training is not at all as complicated as some would claim. He predicts that regardless of the advances in communication, resources, technology, and training tools, the basic selling skills that trainers teach salespeople will change very little from those that have been successful during the past 50 years. What will change, according to the expert, is how salespeople are trained to use these skills effectively. Do you agree with this prediction?

Answer #1

The way of doing business has changed a lot from what it was few years back and with the advancement of technology the way of running a business is changing everyday and this is very much normal because we have come a long way today and selling is not an exception. Selling is one of the most integral aspect of a business because the revenue is generated based on such activity and like each and every aspect of a business has changed selling has also changed and I believe that similarly the way training is being imparted needs to be changed as well.

I personally believe that selling a product or service is the most difficult task that is executed by an individual and it requires a lot of skill and effective knolwedge along with expertise to master the art. A few years back product knowledge was considered to be the most important aspect and even today it is important but today customers have access to Internet and they can access the same within minutes therefore instead of having sound product knowledge, the sales executive needs to have knowledge of the customer and that too better than the competitors because that will help the individual understand what they need to offer to the customer which they will prefer or they need to buy because that will be easy. The training now will focus on how to gather customer information and what are the sources that will provide the same.

Previously most of our selling used to happen through calls where we need to do a lot of persuasion in order to get connected to the tight person and the probability of success was very low. Today we have a lot of ways through which we can connect to the right person and there is social media, mail, other data sources as well and therefore we need to be well versed with technology or rather information technology that is the key to success.

I believe that the total sales training process will be revised and ammended because the traditional methods may no more work in the real world any more and therefore we need to be effective and flexible in order to be successful.
