Part 1) Describe one of the possibly significant risks embodied in a supervisor’s lack of sensitivity to diversity issues
This is a very critical issue, i.e. the supervisor's capability lies in managing the workers and ensuring their higher productivity to meet the organization's target. The lack of sensitivity to diversity issues causes a drift between the supervisor and his/her sub-ordinates. As a result, the relationships become strained and bitter. Thus, co-ordination and co-operation among the two parties goes missing. Leading to conflicts and quarrels which disturb the working environment and overall culture of the organization.
Part 2) Describe several of the kinds of legal action that can arise from issues of workforce diversity.
Differentiation on basis of culture, race, gender, country, color is strictly illegal. In case if any one is found violating this, there can be a lawsuit held against the defaulter and the organization. This can tarnish the company's reputation and cost it heavily in terms of compensation to be paid to the respective employee.
