Resistor colour code as

(First band+second band)*(multiplier)+/- tolerance

Given resistance is 8500 ohm +/- 5%

(80+5)*(100)+/5%

80 = grey

5 = green

100 = red

5% = gold

So, the colour code for 8500 ohm with tolerance of +/5% is

Grey - green - red - gold
