Answer #1

The degree of errors encountered during data transmission over a communication or network transmission.The higher the error rate,the less reliable the connection will be.
Error rate:-
the number of bit errors is the number of received bits of a data stream over a communication channel that have been altered due to noise, interference, distortion or bit synchronization errors.
Example: transmitted sequence:- 1 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 0 1
   recieved sequence:- 1 0 0 1 1 1 0 1 0 0
       Error ratio:- 3/10=0.3

Bit error rate(bit error ratio (BER)):
It is the number of bit errors produced by transmission of bit sequence divided by the total number of transferred bits during a studied time interval.
BER is a unitless performance measure, It is oftenly expressed as a percentage.

Bit error probability (Pe):-
It is the expectation value of the BER.
The BER can be considered as an approximate estimate of the bit error probability.
This estimate is accurate for a long time interval and a high number of bit errors.
Formulas:-

BER=Errors/Total Number of Bits

    polynomial bo bit + b2 t2 +b3 t3 a) A binary string bobib2b3 is converted to a and is then coded by multiplying by the polynomial1+t2+t3. The resulting polynomial is then converted back to a binary string of length seven then transmitted. This string is received as 1011010, with bit order being lower powers to the left. Assume that at most one of these seven been corrupted in the transmission process (Ensure that you have determined the correct order of...
