Parents who use a(an) Authoritative form of parenting tend to teach their children to manage and control their emotions and to use positive coping skills.

Authoritative Parenting involves being responsive to the emotional and mental needs of the child while having standards set high. Limits are set and boundaries are enforced. This is the best style of parenting in the four Baumrind Parenting Styles

Autocratic Parenting, also known as the authoritarian style is a rigid parenting style, that does not allow much flexibility and involves parents expecting their children to live up to high standards with no explanations for lapses.  

Authoritarian Parenting style is a rigid parenting style, that does not allow much flexibility and involves parents expecting their children to live up to high standards with no explanations for lapses.  

Autocritical Style may not have much to do with parenting but is a quality of being critical about on's own behavior or work.
