Report average and %RSD for the standardization of your NaOH concentration if 9.9694g of solid NaOH is weighed out diluted with water then mixed until the solid is completely dissolved. The analyte is made by adding about 75 mL of water and 25 ml of HCl.

Trial 1: 14.7 mL titrant
Trial 2: 11.6 mL titrant
Trial 3: 12.1 mL titrant

Answer #1

% RSD =

Let X1= 14.7 ml

X2= 11.6 ml

X3 = 12.1 ml

Mean (Xi)=

Where N is number of titrant values,

Xi =

=12.8

Standard deviation (S D) =sqare root of

=square root of

S D = square root of

S D = square root of (2.77)

S D = 1.66

RSD =

RSD = 0.1300

% RSD = 0.13 × 100

% RSD = 13%

In formula XiXi means (Xi)2

and X1 means X1 means Xi i couldn't type so i have substituted at last
