What operating system functions would you expect to find in the computer that is built in to control your automobile, and which functions would be omitted? Justify your answer.

Operating System function that should be in computers built in automobile:-

The Safety assist feature should be there in a cars computer. The command of the safety assist should be in drivers hand i.e, operating system.

This assist include blind spot monitoring (BSM) autonomous emergency braking (AEB), active lane keep assist (LKA) and intelligent speed adaptation (ISA).

These features help in avoiding crash and computer will play an important role in these features and without an OS these are not possible.

Operating System function that should be omitted:-

The automatic engine on and off features should be removed from a cars computer’s OS.

Because at U-turn’s or emergency stops the engine might go off and if the driver wants to accelerate again immediately than it will take time restart the car will cause problem as well as accidents also.
