Cybersecurity rests on experts knowing what to secure. Therefore, it is very important for them to know the pertinent aspects of the information they protect. That is to say they must know what to protect, and how much protection to issue in order to secure it. Research and discuss differing types of information that may be designated as important, and discuss at least one way in which you would vet the information for its level of importance.

Cyber security is one of the main important factory in today's world because internet is used drastically in and around the world. In simple words, cybersecurity is the aspect of protecting the people's data, hardware, software, etc who are using or are part of the internet. Internet runs between a main server and users , the data is sent back and forth from user to server and vice versa thus there is basically an open pipe between the two, which makes it easier for the attackers to do things. It might be someone stealing your data from your PC and threatening that they will leak it, it could be them injecting a virus into your PC making it unusable.

Whatever the type of attack is , this is always done by sending out some data into your PC , for exampe , a virus can be send as an email and when the user opens the email or clicks some buttons which is part of the email, the virus can be injected into that particular PC. Now that email is a type of data that should be suspected by cybersecurity officials before hand and should be prevented from being sent to the user.

Another aspect of the question is what data should be considered important and how different data will have different levels of importance. The first and foremost priority would be given to sensitive data such as passwords, bank account details, cheque book details, etc. One way to categorize data into whats more important and what is less is by considering the sensitivity of data : Highly sensitive, Medium sensitive, Less sensitive.

- Highly sensitive data will be the ones i mentioned like credit card details, passwords etc which when found out by an attacker can cause higher amount or highly severe problems for the user.

- Medium sensitive data could be some personal information such as date of birth , place of birth etc

- Less sensitive data would be your name, your work place etc.

Another question is to discuss at least one way in which you would vet the information for its level of importance.

So the question is to descirbe a way in which you will examine the data to find out which level of importance it belongs to. One way to do this will be to make a detailed list of all the categories grouped based on importance and sort incoming data into different categories and assign levels to the categories and the security officials can regularly keep track of the incoming and outgoing data for those highly important categories. We could also make use of AI where large group of data is fed into the system so that the AI is capable to understand which data is important and which is not.
