Explain each type of organizational structure in two to three sentences
1. Product-based organization structure- It is
an organization structure where activities are gathered and
arranged according to product or service. The formal coordination
of the management happens independently or separately for
each.
2. Geographic based organization structure- In the
geologically based structure, every unit depends on a specific
geographic region. One of the most broadly utilized among bigger
associations is a geographic-based structure. Organization
hierarchy is partitioned or divided based on the geographic area in
which the organization works which is headed by a centralized head
office.
3. SBU organizational structure- The structure of
SBU comprises operating units; wherein the units serve as an
autonomous business. The top corporate officer doles out the
responsibility of the business to the managers, for the regular
operations and business unit strategy. To avoid decision-making
only in central management, there are made separate strategic
business units — SBUs.
4. Task/Matrix organizational structure- A matrix
organizational structure is an organizational structure in which
the reporting relationships are set up as a matrix as opposed to in
the conventional hierarchy. Workers have double reporting
relationships for the most part to both a functional manager and a
product manager.
5. Network organizational structure- The network
structure is more up to date or a new type of organizational
structure viewed as a more flat structure, increasingly
decentralized, and more flexible than different structures. In this
structure chief or managers coordinate and control relationships
that are both inward and outside to the firm.
