Answer #1

The amount of digoxin required by the patient = 62.5 mcg = 62.5 x 10-3 mg      ( 1 mcg = 10-3 mg)

The concentration of available digoxin = 0.0250 mg/mL

Hence, the volume of digoxin should be given = mass of digoxin required/ concentration of digoxin

                                                                          = 62.5 x 10-3 mg / 0.0250 mg/mL

                                                                          = 2.5 mL
