Mostly earthquake and volcanoes occurred due to the
moments of the plates, especially when the plates interact with
each other at their edges or boundaries.
There are two types of plate movements occurred due to heat
released by magma inside the earths crust. They are converging
plates and diverging plates:
Converging plate - In this process 2 or more plates come
together and are compressed with each other, it may compress with
each others edge and form a mountain like structure or it may,
subject to overlap which is called subducting plates in this way
formation of a higher region take place that is a plateau.
Diverging plate - In this process 2 or more plates move away
from each other and form a valley like structure. It is not
always possible that every structure, form due to tectonic plate
movement can be seen, maybe it is under the ocean
sometimes.
