Explain whether or not there is any difference between a light ray emitted by a candle flame and one reflected off the cover of a book. b. Determine whether the reflection off the cover of a book is specular or diffuse and explain your answer.

• Yes it will be different. When light is emitted from candle there is no absorption  of light and no refraction also because it is a source of energy. In the case of light reflected from book cover there will be scattering and some absorption also.
• The cover will make diffuse reflection. Because cover is not shiny like mirror or other surface Who can make specular reflection. It will absorb maximum light.
