We would find it more helpful to know the Median salary rather than the mean salary.
The median salary refers to the salary below which 50% of the employees get paid and above which 50% of the employees get paid.
Mean salary might not be a good estimate as it may increase or decrease because of some employees getting very highly paid or some employees getting very low pay.
