Behavioural learning says that our behaviour remains based on our surroundings., We keep on noticing various events taking place in our surroundings. We keep on observing various actions and reactions through our conscious and unconscious mind.
People in our surrounding also determine the direction of our behaviour. We can use this principle for teaching something valuable for children of fifth grader class. We can use reinforcement technique. We should not provide punishment to students.
We should develop a behaviour so that they can learn from their mistakes. Constructive approach is very much important for this aspect. Whenever a child does some mistake then we can tell him/her to write the incorrect thing 5 times in corrected manner. This will develop a sense of hard work.
It will also develop a sense of being more and more accurate so that extra work can be avoided. Suppose there are two children and both of them has been given a numerical problem. One solves the numerical correctly and other solves it incorrectly then we can reward the winner with two chocolates and the other child with one chocolate.
Along with this reward we will also motivate other child to prove his metal in some other task like painting or sports. It will act as inspiring factor for both of them. Main focus should be concentrated on development of feeling of a positive and healthy competition.
Children should be promoted to analyse their own strengths rather than to seek other's weaknesses. Negative words like "fail" and "looser" should also not be used in classroom.
