Prevention and control are the two broad-based approaches that can be used to reduce delinquency. These approaches differ by the fact that while delinquency control involves the various justice programs or policy designs for preventing the occurrence of crime in the future. Delinquency Prevention is basically a non-justice program or policy designs that are used to prevent the occurrence of future acts of delinquency. Hence the burden of delinquency prevention is generally distributed between; parents, schools, non-profits, and governmental agencies at the local state and federal, levels.
