Do you think that cultural norms and values could pose a risk when outsourcing legal services. If so, how would you address this?
Answer
Cultural norms and values could pose a risk when legal services are outsourced. Because, legal services that are now handled by different company or organisation, have power to analyse the business and it's legal compliance. Cultural norms and values may not be in compliance to the values and practices of the firm that is providing and dealing with the legal services.
To address these issues, management must bring necessary changes to its cultural norms and communicate the values with the firm providing legal services. It is important to be transparent and keep the core capabilities safe for remaining competitive, without compromising on the firm's reputation.
