Explain the terms ‘web scraping’ and ‘distressed inventory’.
Web scraping - it is the process of scrapping or extracting data from the internet website and using it for various purposes by an individual or a business. The data generally displayed by websites are protected and therefore they do not allow saving the data locally hence in order to have a copy of the data, the individual or Organization needs to manually copy and paste it locally which is a job that takes time and effort both. In order to make this simple web scraping tools or software is used to scrape data at a great pace and with minimum effort which will make this a simple process and help the process as well.
Distressed Inventory - in simple terms it can be defined as a stock that has lost its value or worth for which the business needs to lower it's price in order to recover some amount of the loss, for example if the demand for rooms in a hotel is less, the business will generally lower the rate for a particular date in order to recover for some amount of the loss.
