Device handlers use a seek strategy to allocate access to the device among a number of processes. Four of the commonly used seek strategies are   

•   FCFS
•   SSTF
•   LOOK
•   SCAN

On a hard disk, the queue of track requests is as follows:


9   29   3   19   39   8   45   10

Assuming that the head starts at track 9, for all of the seek strategies:
i.   Draw the diagrams for arm movement.                    (2x4=8 marks)
ii.   Calculate the total number of tracks and the average number of tracks travelled by the head to satisfy the requests in Q4. (Details of the calculations is essential)
