You will gain some experience with applying what you’ve learned about Coulomb’s Law. Be sure to either read the text or have seen the two lectures on Coulomb’s Law before attempting this.
1. Consider two light weight spheres, hanging from strings, close to each other, but not near enough to touch. Initially they are both uncharged. Sketch how the spheres will look under the following circumstances
a. The spheres have equal negative charges.
b. The spheres retain those equal negative charges but are now further from each other.
c. The spheres have equal but opposite charges
d. The spheres are both charged negatively, but the left has a greater charge than the right.
e. The left sphere has a positive charge and the right sphere is neutral.
2. If you rub a plastic rod with wool, it becomes negatively charged. The rod will then pick up little pieces of neutral paper. Draw a sketch to explain how the paper can be attracted to the rod, even though the paper is neutral.
According to Chegg Guidlines I am bound to solve first four options only. If you need help in other questions then plz describe it properly.
