Discuss the best presentation that you have ever seen. What made it different from the rest of the presentations you have seen? Why did it have such an impact on you? How can you begin to incorporate some of the items mentioned in your next presentations?

The best presentation I have ever seen was on the topic of effective communication & presentation skills which was delivered by my training head. It was one of its kind & I had never been to the training of this kind. Although, I have been part of many engaging training sessions, the level of involvement that this session had from the audience was something that I had never seen before. It moved me because every other presentation I had been to involved the presenter asking the audience to participate & would give cues to the audience to gain a response. But in this presentation, my training head did not give any cues to the audience but still had all the attention and engagement from the audience. Also, the audience was responding every time he wanted without any cues. Some of the things that I noticed which helped the training head to deliver such an impactful presentation was his body language, eye contact, simple PPTs, hands-on experience to the audience & making the audience members stand rather than sitting on chairs.

Some items that I incorporated in my presentations are as follows -

• Using as little slides or PPTs as possible.
• Make the audience comfortable & have them participate in each aspect of the presentation rather than just have them sit & write notes like any other traditional presentation.
• Using discussions as a tool to explain points.
• Involving the use of case studies & examples rather than just stating a point.
• Incorporating group activities in the presentation to prevent it from becoming boring.
• Making eye contact with the members of the audience.
