2. What do you feel is the worst approach/tools to use for making management decisions? Please think about what tools/approaches you learned throughout the course and write a paragraph about why you feel it is the worst approach and why.

I feel one of the worst approach/tools to use for making management decisions is that of the MBO i.e. Management By Objectives. In case of MBO, there is a reward system in place that influences an employee’s performance. But the catch is that MBO usually fails to allocate the goals properly. However, since the MBO theory aims at motivating the employees towards better performances though in actual, Companies are also generally reluctant to eliminate MBO Mechanism though Deming saw the need for its removal as various other theories such as that of the Cognitive Evaluation theory plays a bigger role in achieving the desired results when compared with MBO theory of motivation.
