Discuss a model that explains why a metal, such as a piece of aluminum foil, is a good electrical conductor.
Metals are good conductors of electricity due to their gas electron model. Generaly in metals atom outermost electrons are loosely bounded so at room temperature they leave their orbit and start wandering in whole metal volume randomly like as gas molecules in baloon but these electron cant leave metal due to presence of proper sufficient attraction force with parents atom. Whenever electric potential is applied across metal's terminal these electrons moves staightly. This gas model is occupy only in metals not non metals.
