He slams on the brakes, locking the wheels and causing the truck to skid to a stop. The coefficient of (kinetic) friction between the tries and the ground is ?1 and the coefficent of static friction between the box and the truck bed is ?2 and the coefficient of kinetic friction between the box and the truck bed is ?3.

A: Draw the free body diagrams of the box and the truck (two diagrams). During the deceleration of the truck , clearly labeling each force to indicate what object exert each force. Make a list of all the third-law pairs among your forces.

B: Write Newton's second law for the box and for the truck, in each direction (4 equations).

C: Does the truck hit the cow? Explain.

D: Does the box slip on the truck bed? Explain.
