Describe the main theoretical differences between Client Centered Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy and Gestalt Therapy Theory.
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy is built on the approach the cause of our unhappiness is not sourced from external situations but what makes us unhappy is our attitudes to the external situations. While client-centred Therapy is premised on the assumption that all the problems appear to individuals because of misbalance between the ideal and real selves of the person. The theoretical foundation of gestalt therapy is quite different than both the therapy because it is guided by the theory of rational principle that every individual is constituted by a whole which is the mind, body and soul. Individuals' problems can be then understood only when the relation of the mind, body and soul are examined to their current situation as according to what he/she experiences it.
