How has the introduction of non-native species impacted the forests of the United States? Give examples. (For this question, I don’t want to read how Europeans cut down forests. That topic is too easy to recite and it’s boring. Keep the discussion to organisms intentionally or unintentionally brought to North American from other parts of the world.)
Non-native species introduction will cause economical and environmental harm. Lot of invasive forest insects, diseases, plants and other organisms are established in united states. In U.S forests, feral pigs aggressively dig soil and consume young trees as part of their daily such for food and causes soil erosion by rooting and wallowing. Earth warms introduced from Europe and asia have become agent of change in northern temperate forest, some trees are incapable surviving such conditions and loss lifes. Brown tree snake is native of Australia and indonesia is responsible for extripatian of almost all forest birds due to which eco system damaged. Feral cat, Burmese python, nutria and many more birds are invasive species in U.S forest, which are damaging the eco system.
